Visible mending a favorite sweater with sashiko stitching, first attempt

My favorite hand knit sweater developed a moth hole right at the elbow and instead of quietly darning it to hide the damage, I decided to try visible mending with sashiko-style stitching in a contrasting thread. First attempt at this technique and the geometric pattern turned out better than expected, though my stitch spacing got a bit uneven toward the edges. Curious what other visible mending techniques people here have tried on knitwear specifically rather than woven fabric.
