My grandmother passed a Singer 15-91 down to me last month and it sat in its case for weeks before I worked up the nerve to plug it in. Once I did, I sewed a straight seam so clean I actually gasped. I'm forty-two and have never sewn a stitch in my life before this, so I'm starting from absolute zero with a Seamwork Astoria as my first project. Any resources for total beginners on straight machines without fancy stitch options would mean a lot.
