I love digging through scrap bins at local fabric shops since it keeps small usable pieces out of landfill, but I've noticed my own habit of grabbing far more than I'll realistically ever use just because it's cheap and feels virtuous. Trying to figure out a better personal rule for how much is actually reasonable to take home versus leaving for other sewists who might need those exact pieces more than I do right now.
