I have been avoiding zippers for months, sticking to elastic waists and button closures out of pure fear, but I finally installed my first invisible zipper on a simple skirt tonight and it's genuinely invisible. Not perfect, there's a tiny pucker right at the very bottom, but from three feet away nobody would ever know. I actually did a little dance around my sewing room. Thank you to everyone whose old zipper threads I read obsessively before attempting this.
