Cleaning out a decade of lint from a machine I inherited

Inherited a machine that had apparently not been cleaned in at least a decade, and opening up the bobbin case area revealed an alarming amount of packed lint and thread fluff. Took it apart carefully following an online guide and vacuumed out what felt like enough lint to stuff a small pillow. It runs noticeably smoother and quieter now. Sharing mostly as encouragement for anyone nervous about opening up an inherited or secondhand machine for the first time.
