Fabric bleeding dye onto my ironing board, is it ruined

I was pressing a piece of deep indigo cotton I bought for a shirt dress and noticed faint blue transfer onto my ironing board cover afterward. The fabric itself still looks fine and full color, no visible fading. Is this normal excess dye that will wash out, or a sign the color is genuinely unstable and will bleed onto whatever it touches later, like a white lining or a light-colored bag? Should I wash it multiple times before cutting to be safe?
