Sewing Soul is a place for people who make things. These rules keep it worth reading.

Be kind. Critique the garment, not the person. Disagreement is welcome; contempt is not.

Credit makers. Do not present other people's work as your own. When you share someone else's make, say whose it is.

No spam or scams. No affiliate dumps, repeated self-promotion, fake giveaways, or links to sites designed to deceive.

No hate or harassment. No attacks on the basis of who someone is; no targeting, doxxing or pile-ons.

Keep it safe for work. No sexual content. Lingerie and fitting discussions are fine when they are about sewing.

Stay on topic. Sewing Soul is about sewing, patterns, fabric, garment making and fashion seen through a sewist's eyes.

Report, don't retaliate. Use Report on any post or comment; every report reaches a moderator. You can block anyone — their comments disappear for you.

Consequences. First violations usually get a warning or a removed comment. Repeated or serious violations lead to suspension or a permanent ban. Decisions are made by people and can be appealed at support@sewingsoul.com.
